The following people are given brief biographical sketches in the Illustrated Historical Atlas of Perth county, 1879. This is not an attempt to give all the information, but a pointer to let you know that more information exists. If you find a name here, then you want to try to get this book!
Most of the sketches are short, so if you can't get the book, there's a lookup offer on the lookups page. However, you should at least try to get the book, because you will find that if there is a sketch of the person, there is probably more information on them besides the sketch, and the lookup person may not have time to get it all for you.
This is one in a series of County Historical Atlases of Ontario published by H. Beldon Co. They have been reprinted and are available at many public libraries in Ontario.
Everyone has told me that they cannot get this book by Inter-Library Loan, because it's a reference book. If you try to do so, make sure that you specify 1879, because there's also an atlas of Perth County published in 1982, which goes by the same title.
